Safety-Care for Families – Intermediate Skills

Prerequisite: Safety-Care for Families – Essential Skills

This class is intended for parents/caregivers/family members, and is only available to families receiving services through Woodfords, or families receiving services through agencies that are working closely with Woodfords. Intermediate Skills topics include: use of behavioral momentum to improve cooperation, advanced de-escalation strategies, management of weapons, basic physical safety skills, releasing from holds.

This course requires a referral form signed by a state-licensed social worker, BCBA, psychologist or physician.

The course is free to families currently receiving services through Woodfords. The fee for other eligible participants is $25.
